Salt Lake Trip 2006 [UPDATED]
**Pictures may take a while to download**
After sifting through 886 pictures taken on this trip, I've narrowed it down to 22. These aren't the most interesting ones, nor are they the best. But here it goes.
The ride up
took over a day. On the way up, we met Jonathan and the gang in Denver .
The most memorable part of the trip up was when we were going to run out of gas in Wyoming. We had to stop at the most run-down, weird, not looking like we want to be there gas station in the world .
We eventually made it to Salt Lake. Kristy played the drums
while her bro played guitar for a little bit. Most of the Salt Lake experience was spent eating. We ate at Maddox ,
which was really good. Kristy's dad turned 60
while we were there. Went to Wendover
and won $20. Kristy's sister won $4,000. Ate at the Bombay House
with my brother and his wife. Rode horses
with my sister .
Ate sushi
at Ahh Sushi!!! Went to the zoo
and watched the bird show. Whacha doin' doin' doin', the parrot would say. A trip to Salt Lake wouldn't be right if you didn't see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir
and took cliche pictures
in front of the Salt Lake City Temple. Kristy's dad
makes a mean steak. It was good. Kristy's friend, Melissa ,
is short. See if you can find Justin
in this mess they call Kristy's room. So, all the stand-by seats were taken by a cancelled flight out of Salt Lake. Desperate to get rid of me, we drove to Las Vegas, where there were a lot of seats
available. Half way there the fuel pump went out. But we made it and ate
good food. At the Bellagio ,
Kristy's brother did an amazing thing .
He flipped a quarter into a stream of water. It was a miracle. Las Vegas
was fun. Then I came home.
